14/03/2019 - In the neoclassical setting of the SEC – Shanghai Exhibition Center, the sixth edition of Design Shanghai provides a unique platform for the sharing of design ideas and inspirations. In the heart of Jing’an, one of the oldest and best known districts of the Asian metropolis, the stylistic flair of MisuraEmme
reveals all of its rigor and purity, contemporary design and functional quality. Sophisticated details in tune with a made-to-measure philosophy of living enhance the multiple combinations and infinite compositional possibilities of the brand.
Subdivided into four settings that ideally represent the main functional areas of the home, the installation covers an area of about 140 square meters, presenting some of the most distinctive pieces of the new collections alongside the bestsellers of the Como-based company. The original atmospheres are paced by offerings of vivid personality, in a range of natural tones that are absolutely in tune with the overall elegance of the collection.
“Participation in trade fairs in China – says Ottaviano Borgonovo, co-owner of MisuraEmme – is part of a wider-ranging strategic policy of internationalization that in recent months has led to the opening of new showrooms around the world, from Mexico City to St. Petersburg, as well as Suzhou, Nanjing and Jinan.”
The settings: dining, living and nighttime
The material allure of Sahara Noir marble underscores the sleek linear structure of the Gaudì table, an elegant presence with a wooden base, for unlimited convivial pleasure. The functional structure is in black-stained solid oak, while the top features a semi-oval shape and many different options for personalization. The table is joined by the linear profiles of the Bertha chairs, a combination of fine craftsmanship and stylistic choices that generate great harmony and aesthetic rigor. The space also contains the Milvian sideboard, a solution framed by shaped sides that extend down to the floor, resting on small, elegant feet.
The striking protagonist of the living area is the Argo sofa, which stands out for its platformstorage modules alternating with rigid backs, filling the surrounding space and completely embracing the living room, while at the same time creating a perfect microcosm for everyday life.
The essential, modular contemporary design of Crossing – as the name implies – connects different parts and materials to trigger a new interpretation of contemporary living, perfect to respond to the full spectrum of client requirements. The spaces of the home are filled and lightened at the same time thanks to the fascinating hybrid of various wood panels with inserts in smoked glass. The iconic setting is completed by the Violetta chair with a swivel base, and the Janus, Antares and Sirius tables: delicate, but with distinct personalities.
With ample volumes that are the quintessence of comfort, capturing attention to become the central feature around which to organize the décor of the bedroom, Sumo offers an immediate sensation of restful calm thanks to its enveloping, sophisticated image. The upholstery is covered with leather – for the borders of the frame and the back of the headboard – and with fabric – on the front of the headboard – while special handmade stitching creates a subtle capitonné effect. Standing out for the harmonious shape of the shell that welcomes the body with its remarkable comfort, the fluid form of Ermes, the brand’s iconic armchair, rests on a wooden structure in oak of great sculptural appeal.
Unlimited modular flexibility is the forte of the Millimetrica wardrobe cabin. A space at the service of your desires, responding to the multiple needs dictated by a contemporary lifestyle. A customized system where comfort, precision and organization interpret the many facets of everyday life.
